Compare the Audi A6
to the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The time has come for you to pick out your next luxury sedan.

The only problem? You've come across numerous models that seem to do the same thing, and you're stumped as to which one will provide the best experience overall. Luckily, we can help here at Audi Allentown.

We're excited about every Audi sedan available in our inventory, especially the new Audi A6. Every A6 comes equipped with the latest Audi technology, safety features, and comforts without sacrificing power and performance. That's not to say that the Audi A6 doesn't have competition - models like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class offer plenty of their own ingenuity and innovation to be suitable options. However, the Audi A6 takes your drive to the next level that the other two luxury sedans can't quite match.

Check out how the Audi A6 compares to its two rivals and see why we prefer it when choosing our next car to purchase or lease!

Audi A6 vs. BMW 5 Series

When it comes to engine performance, you'll find a more powerful option under the hood of the Audi A6. While both models employ a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the A6 makes better use of its setup to deliver 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, compared to 248 horsepower and 257 pound-feet, respectively. If you're looking to jump off the acceleration, the Audi A6 will do it better than the BMW 5 Series, too - the A6 achieves 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds, .1 second better than its BMW rival.

When shopping sedans, you don't always expect the right kind of capability to handle any road conditions. As a Pennsylvania driver, you'll need a car that can handle road conditions that aren't always favorable. Thankfully, the Audi A6 has a solution with the quattro® all-wheel drive. Standard to the lineup, the AWD system provides top-level traction control and handling, ensuring that you're prepared for the worst the road can throw at you. While the 5 Series does offer xDrive all-wheel drive, be prepared more to equip it - the feature isn't standard to its lineup.

Audi A6 vs. Mercedes-Benz E-Class

While you won't necessarily expect a luxury sedan to offer interior passenger space, the Audi A6 turns your expectations on their heads. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class does offer slightly more front-row legroom, but it falls behind the Audi A6 when you compare front and rear headroom. The A6 also enjoys more rear legroom, allowing those in the back to stretch out a little more than E-Class passengers can. If you need to fill up your trunk space, the Audi A6 accommodates you a little more with 13.7 cubic feet to the Mercedes-Benz's 13.1 cubic feet of storage space.

Equipping the right features can make a world of difference. The Audi A6 equips you for everything, from the quattro® all-wheel drive to interior features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, the 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit digital gauge display, and even onboard Wi-Fi - all standard so you don't need to pay more to have them equipped. If you want all-wheel drive on your Mercedes-Benz, you'll need to pay $2,500 more to buy the E350 4MATIC®. The interior offers many of the same features, but again, you'll need to pay more to allow your passengers to connect their devices while on the road - onboard Wi-Fi is an optional feature for the base model.
